J. David Croessmann was born in DuQuoin, Illinois. He has lived in Missouri most of his life. He graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia with a B.S. degree in Accounting and a Juris Doctor degree in 1977. He has practiced law in Springfield since 1977.

Mr. Croessmann represents several closely held and family businesses and their owners, as well as numerous individual clients in Springfield and the surrounding area. His practice focuses on business and tax law, estate and business succession planning, contracts, real estate transactions and mergers & acquisitions.

David lives in Springfield and has two children, ages 15 and 20.
